Kirk Smith co-founded Whistler Homes after purchasing a lot in his neighborhood and realizing, through collaboration with business partners Jeff and Jon, that they had the potential to create something unique in the home-building industry. Their shared vision, camaraderie, and combined expertise in realty and building led to a home-building company that strives to deliver exceptional homes across the Upstate region.

Kirk’s goal is to streamline the home-building process that meet the needs of a wide variety of clients. In addition to his work at Whistler Homes, Kirk is the co-owner of JK Group, a Berkshire Hathaway Company with C Dan Joyner Realty, where he and his partner Jon MacDonald bring decades of experience in real estate and home development.

Outside of work, Kirk enjoys spending time with his family, traveling in their motor coach, and finding peace through his faith and love of the outdoors. His dedication to family, community, and craftsmanship is at the heart of everything he does.
